Role Purpose

The Operations Manager plays a dual role in securing funding for the organisation while managing its operational functions. This position ensures smooth delivery of projects, events, and community services.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Writing & Fundraising:

· Research and identify grant opportunities relevant to community development and cultural initiatives.

· Prepare compelling proposals that reflect organisational goals and community needs.

· Gather programme data, budgets, and impact information from team members and volunteers.

· Maintain a full pipeline of applications, deadlines, and reporting schedules.

· Build relationships with local authorities, charitable foundations, and funding bodies.

· Prepare impact, narrative, and financial reports.

Operations Management:

· Oversee day-to-day organisational operations.

· Supervise team members and volunteers, ensuring strong communication and effective workflow.

· Develop internal policies, procedures, and operational systems.

· Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and delivery.

· Support partnerships, community events, and inter-agency collaborations.

· Ensure compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, and health & safety standards.

Skills & Experience:

· Proven experience in grant writing and operational management.

· Strong leadership and organisation skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication.

· Ability to multitask across strategic and operational responsibilities.

· Understanding of Asian diaspora community needs (advantage).

Role Purpose

The CEO provides overall leadership, strategic vision set by the board of trustees, manages finances, and serves as the public face and ambassador

for Asian Social Group (ASG). Acting as the main representative of the organisation, supporting the smooth running of ASG projects, programmes and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide strategic leadership and ensure alignment with the organisation’s mission and goals. Design long-term business plans with the board and drive sustainable growth and measurable impact.

· Overseeing all departments, team members, and volunteers, ensuring smooth and effective operations.

· Representing the organisation at external meetings, conferences, partnerships, and community forums.

· Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, funders, service providers, and community leaders.

· Support fundraising efforts and contribute to grant proposal planning. Direct fundraising strategies and diversify income streams.

· Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies.

· Driving organisational development, programme expansion, and partnership growth.

· Build partnerships with donors, funders, statutory bodies, and stakeholders.

Skills & Experience:

· Strong leadership and organisational management experience.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Experience providing support to vulnerable individuals and families.

· Deep understanding of Asian diaspora community issues.

· Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work flexibly.

· Knowledge and experience of working with voluntary, community and faith sector organisations.

· Knowledge of local area.

· Experience of project management.
